AN ORDINANCE FOR ESTABLISHING REGULATORY PROCESSES

FOR TINY HOMES/TINY HOUSES WITHIN

THE TOWN LIMITS OF HOLLY, COLORADO

WHEREAS, a tiny house is defined as being on a chassis and a tiny home must be trailered in; and

WHEREAS, a tiny house or tiny home is under 500 square feet.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF HOLLY, COLORADO:

Section 1. Any tiny house or tiny home entering the Town of Holly must first comply with all federal and the State of Colorado regulations.

Section 2. Only one tiny house or tiny home per lot will be allowed as long it meets the Town’s set back requirements.

Section 3. A tiny home will follow the Town’s adopted code/policy for manufactured homes, and a tiny house will follow the Town’s mobile home code/policy.

Section 4. A tiny home will be set on a foundation, and a tiny house will have the wheels removed and placed on blocks, meeting the Town’s code/policy for such implementation.

Section 5. Each tiny house/tiny home will be required to have its own hook-up for sewer, water, electricity and trash through the Town of Holly. This will include any deposit/fee requirements.

Section 6. All tiny houses/tiny homes will be required to pull permits, work with the Town’s building inspector and meet all adopted codes.
