A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF HOLLY, COLORADO
DESIGNATING THE OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE LOCATION
AND THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER OF GENERAL CIRCULATION
WHEREAS, the Town of Holly is required by Colorado Revised Statute 24-6-402(2)(c) to annually designate at the first regular meeting of each calendar year official locations within the boundaries of the Town for the posting of legal notices, and for notice of all meetings of the Town of Holly Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Holly is required by Colorado Revised Statute 31-16-105 to publish all ordinances of a general or permanent nature and those imposing any fine, penalty, or forfeiture, following adoption, in some newspaper published within the limits of the town; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Holly has no newspaper with regularly scheduled publication within the town limits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town of Holly Board of Trustees that:
Section 1. Public notices shall be posted at the Holly Post Office, 101 East Santa Fe Street, Holly, Colorado, 81047, on the bulletin board in the foyer, which location shall be deemed the official posting location for the Town of Holly.
Section 2. Notices and other information required to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the Town of Holly shall be made in The Holly Shopper; except that, where the Town determines that the submission schedule, publication deadline, or other circumstance makes publication in such newspaper ineffective or otherwise undesirable, the Town may publish ordinances by posting copies thereof in four designated public places.
Section 3. The four public places shall be the Town Hall, 100 Tony Garcia Drive; the Holly Post Office, 101 East Santa Fe Street; Holly Laundry and Car Wash, 202 East Colorado Street; and J.R.’s Country Store, 118 East Colorado Street, Holly, Colorado, on the bulletin board of each aforementioned facility.
