A RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF HOLLY AUTHORIZING THE STATUS FOR WATER METER ACCOUNTS
TO BE ACTIVE OR INACTIVE
WHEREAS, the Town of Holly provides water service to all residents, therefore, it is in the best interest of the Town to maintain water meters to Town residents; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Holly must maintain rates for the USDA Drinking Water Project Loan repayment process over the next forty years based on a per meter rate; and
WHEREAS, in 2025, Ordinance No. 562 approved the rate to be set per active water meter for in town and out of town meters; and
WHEREAS, water meter activity will be assessed under the same qualifications regardless if the customer's meter is in town limits or outside of town limits, given such location is within the Town of Holly service area; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Holly water dock bulk purchases will be charged an additional $1.00 per 1,000 gallon, which is in addition to the $3.00 operating charge assessed in Ordinance No. 545.
WHEREAS, should an inactive meter be made active during this USDA Drinking Water Project Loan repayment period, additional meter charges may be assessed for reactivation for this loan repayment process; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Holly, Colorado, a municipal corporation, that the following qualifications shall become effective as of February 6, 2025.
The following qualifications will cause a meter to be classified as active:

A Town of Holly utility account with active electric and water meters.

A Town of Holly utility account with a water meter that has been active at any time in the past twelve months and remains in the meter pit.
The following qualifications will cause a meter to be classified as inactive:

A Town of Holly utility account with a water meter that has been active at any time in the past twelve months and the meter has gone through the disconnect process.

A Town of Holly utility account that has an active electric meter but has had no water usage.

A Town of Holly location without an active electric and water meter but has a building structure on it.

A Town of Holly location without an active electric and water meter and does not have a building structure on it.
-
A Town of Holly location that does not have a water meter pit, so there is no maintenance required by the Town.
