RESOLUTION NO. 2026-4

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN CLERK AS THE DESIGNATED

ELECTION OFFICIAL FOR ALL REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS OR

SPECIAL ELECTIONS FOR THE TOWN OF HOLLY

WHEREAS, The Town of Holly regular municipal elections will be held the first Tuesday of April in each even-numbered year according to Colorado Revised Statute 31-1-101 (10) (a); and

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Holly is the governing body for the Municipality; and

WHEREAS, Colorado Revised Statute requires the governing body of the municipality to authorize the Designated Election Official; and

WHEREAS, Colorado Revised Statute 1-1-304(1)(a)(b) specifies the qualifications and conduct of election officials; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Holly has ensured that the appointed Designated Election Official has met those qualifications.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Holly:

Section 1.  The Town Clerk shall be known as the Designated Election Official for the current election and any subsequent regular or special municipal elections.

Section 2.  The Town Clerk acknowledges that at the time of hire and throughout the period of service to the Town of Holly, the person has met and continues to meet the requirements for being the Designated Election Official as set forth in Colorado Revised Statute 1-1-304(1)(a)(b).

Section 3.  In the event that the Town Clerk is unable to fulfill the duties of Designated Election Official, the Board of Trustees for the Town of Holly passes authority to the Deputy Clerk to assume all responsibilities and meet all the requirements of being said Designated Election Official.
